The Albert Einstein Preston Centre
The Albert Einstein Preston Centre is Preston School’s onsite Autism resource base. Students with an EHCP and primary diagnosis of Autism are offered LA-commissioned places to learn here as students of Preston school with the benefit of additional support to manage a mainstream secondary school environment.
Students are supported in a variety of ways to ensure reasonable adjustments are made to their provision, enabling them to succeed at Preston and make progress socially, emotionally and academically.
Staff at the Preston Centre work with students to ensure learning is accessible. This might be through accompanying students to some lessons, differentiating tasks or providing students with a calm environment to complete their learning at the Preston Centre.
The building is equipped with communal social areas, a kitchen, library, break-out teaching spaces and a sensory room. Students also enjoy access to a decking area and field behind the building.
