Nancy Rothwell Award
Wednesday, October 3, 2018
At the end of last term the students were asked if they would like to rise to the challenge set by the Royal Society of Biology for school students between the ages of 7 and 18. The Nancy Rothwell Award is for specimen drawing and past winners have been superb.
Two of our Year 8s, Peter Ayres and Charlotte Weeks rose to the challenge and as you can see from the images what they produced is amazing. A huge well done to both of them.
Peter's water colour of herbivore skulls is so clear and informative; a case of raising science to fine art. Charlotte produced a model of a chameleon that is attractive and informative.
We now wait for the results but we wanted to share the excellent work of 2 of our students. Fingers crossed.
