Remembrance Day Service
As you will be aware it is Remembrance Day on Monday 11th November and as a school community we have always held a Remembrance Service at the school. This service is traditionally led by the Year 10 students, who plan and lead the service. This year we will be marking the date with our traditional Remembrance Service. All staff and students will come together for this service.
Year 10 students will be selling poppies in the week building up to the service. It is suggested that there is a donation of £1.00 to support this worthwhile charity.
We would like to invite students who are members of cadet units and other groups to wear their formal uniform on this day instead of their school uniform. If you are not a member of a cadet unit or other group then our expectation is that you will wear full school uniform on this day. This is a significant day in the year and provides us all with an opportunity to reflect and consider what sacrifices others have and continue to make for our country.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
