Message for Year 6 Parents

Dear Year 6 Parents,

A reminder that the first day back in the Autumn Term for Year 7s, will be Tuesday 3rd September. The day will be for the new Year 7s only. The rest of the school population will start on Wednesday 4th September (Years 8-11).

On Tuesday 3rd September, the day will start and end at the usual school time, that is to say the days starts at 8.30am and ends at 2.55pm. When the new Year 7s arrive in school, they will need to go to the Main Hall to start with, just like on Taster Day. Here, they will be met by their Academic Mentors who will meet them in the hall and lead them off to the AM bases.

Lunch for all Year 7 students will be provided on the day free of charge and there will be our normal canteen service in The Hub. As we operate a cashless system in school,  fobs for purchasing food will be given out on this day and will need to be charged up with money on-line ready for the next day (Wednesday 4th September). The Year 7s will also be shown how to use the black charging machine located in the Main Foyer but we recommend that the charging of the fob is done on-line at home ready for the following day to avoid unnecessary queuing by the machine.

Full winter uniform will need to be worn on September 3rd and a fully equipped pencil case (as per details on our website) will be needed. There will be no need for the Year 7s to bring their PE kit or trainers with them.

We are all looking forward to seeing the new Year 7s on Tuesday September 3rd.
