Ofsted Inspection

As you know, we had visitors from Ofsted in school this week. We had 5 Ofsted inspectors across the 2 days intensely looking at learning, speaking with students, meeting with staff, leaders, governors and trust staff. As always it was an exhausting two days and we are glad to get to the weekend!
I just wanted to let you know how good the students were across the 2 days. In lessons, at social times and when moving around the school, they impressed the inspectors with their maturity, hard work and dedication to the school. As a staff we know how good they are every day, but they did a superb job in showing that to our important visitors.
The report is currently being written and should be available for publication in a few weeks. We will share it with you then, but the outcome is embargoed until its release.
One final thing to be aware of regarding students’ punctuality to school: there are due to be closures on Preston Road for the whole of next week. As we know from the ongoing works on Larkhill Road, these can create delays for students and staff arriving to school, so please plan your child’s journey so that they arrive on time if these roadworks are likely to affect you.
