Message to families

Dear families,
I wanted to write to you as we come to the end of the academic term and reach the Christmas holidays.
A huge thank you for all of your continued support throughout this term. Whilst the COVID ‘restrictions’ in school have fluctuated, the way that our students have responded to any changes that we have had to make has been excellent as always, and we thank you for your support in this.
Currently, as you know, we are expecting to work to the following timescales in January:
· Tuesday 4th January 2022 is now our Queen’s Jubilee INSET day – no school for students
· Wednesday 5th January 2022 is a regular INSET day – no school for students (staff in and working)
· Thursday 6th January 2022 is the first day that students return
We hope to proceed with the above but will obviously inform you straight away of any enforced changes to this, which will only be as a result of any government directive.
Finally, each student has been provided with testing kits this week. Please can we ask that all students complete one of these Lateral Flow Tests (LFTs) on Wednesday 5th January 2022, before returning to school the next day. If students test positive they should not come in to school and follow the government’s guidance on isolating. If any students wish to come into school to be assisted with a LFT then please email Miss Surrey on Jaclyn.Surrey@prestonschool.co.uk and we can book you a time.
