Preston School is a highly successful 11-16 Specialist Business and Enterprise Academy, judged by Ofsted (April 2012) as a good school with outstanding features.
We believe that in order to enable learners to reach their full potential and their unique talents nurtured and developed, there needs to be an on-going partnership and dialogue between home and school that provides the foundation for learning and achievement. If students are to learn effectively, they need to be healthy, feel safe, and be happy and secure in school; we must all play our part in achieving this. Our objective is to guarantee success for every individual and much of what we do is designed to find the key that unlocks their interests and skills, enabling them to be successful both at Preston School and beyond.
In addition to high standards of academic achievement, and through our Business and Enterprise status, all learners have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sporting, cultural and enterprise activities. It is through these activities that students develop other important skills such as leadership, creativity, problem solving and cross-cultural literacy, ensuring that we give all our students the very best preparation for a life of change in the 21st century.
I hope that the information provided on our website helps you to learn more about our school and community.
